Firm Résumé

SULLIVAN AND LEAVITT, P.C., traces its origins to 1953 when its founder, Robert A. Sullivan, left one of Michigan’s largest firms and started what has evolved into SULLIVAN AND LEAVITT, P.C. Last year, SULLIVAN AND LEAVITT, P.C. celebrated its sixty-second year of service to its clients. For many decades the firm has enjoyed a national reputation representing trucking companies in transportation matters and management in labor negotiations, related employment matters, and multiemployer pension plan withdrawal liability matters.

Former firm members have achieved prominence in the judiciary. For example, Blair Moody, Jr., a partner of the predecessor firm, became a Michigan Supreme Court Justice serving on the bench until his demise.

In 1970, the firm incorporated in its current form, with Robert A. Sullivan and Martin J. Leavitt as shareholders. The firm remains in this form notwithstanding Mr. Sullivan’s untimely demise in 1979. Currently, Martin J. Leavitt guides this long-standing firm, which has been “AV” rated since its inception.
